I am now an official participant for Austin Fashion Week 2010. I am really excited and will post more info later. I also added a few photos from my promos this past week.

I just moved some albums around again; I decided to add the studio photos in with the appropriate location since I don't have too many studio shoots. I also got hired as the Brand Activation Specialist/Market Manager for The Classic Margarita by Mike's promotions. We start tomorrow and it's for six months. The Classic Margarita by Mike's just launced this year and comes in 3 great flavors: traditional lime, peach, and raspberry. So, if you see a promo going on when you're at HEB stop by and try it. That's all I wanted to say for now, I have a possible shoot this coming Sunday so if that happens there will be more photos to come.

Hi everyone,
I had been meaning to redo the two albums that I had set up as portfolio 2 & 3 but I could never figure out how to categorize everything. So, finally I decided to break it up into location and studio. I have one album for studio work which only has 7 images I think; I really haven't done much studio work. Then I broke the locations up into albums by city. So right now I've got San Antonio, Austin, New York City, and Fredericksbug. The Fredericksburg album is entirely new; it is from the shoot I did yesterday with Bud Plumbley of Hill Country Vision. There were a lot of great places in Fredericksburg to shoot, I only wish I had a little more time.
I also added a album titled promotions, so I will be adding photos from promotions that I work as well. I hope everyone enjoys the new photos and hopefully there will be more to come soon.

I really meant to add this entry a long time ago when I actually did this, in November, but I never got to it. I thought I'd go ahead and do it now anyways. I did freeze modeling at Rolling Oaks Mall and I had never done it before and I really wasn't sure how it was going to work but it was lots of fun and I really loved it. The stores I modeled for were Bridal Connection, A'gaci, Melrose, and New York & Company. Of course I have pictures but I took them myself so you really can't see the clothing or anything. Well, the insert image function doesn't seem to be working so maybe I'll add them in later.
In other news, I really want to actually register to be a participant in Austin Fashion Week this year but the deadline to turn in an application is June 1st so I'm not sure whether I will or not. I am in need of some new photos so I'm going to see if I can get that done. I have one shoot lined up with Hill Country Vision on the 8th of May so we'll see how that goes. Also, they moved it to August this year and the last day is the day of my son's birthday and would be birthday party. I wouldn't necessary have to be there on that day though, it would just depend on whether or not anyone picked me for anything that day or if I wanted to go to the Awards. Anyways, I'll post more updates on that later.

I got the insert image function to work. Here is the bodice of the wedding gown from Bridal Connection and the very top of a jogging outfit from Melrose.

*For some reason I'm having trouble with my resume page and can't update so this is not yet on there*
Today I had the Beyond the Image Hair & Fashion Show which was a benefit show for Breast Cancer Awareness and proceeds went to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. So, my hair is now red, it's actually got red, orange, and pink in it and I have a new cut with slanted bangs. The show was at Cabo Tropical Grille and a lot of people attended. The show was put on by two Paul Mitchell focus salons, which happen to be the only two in San Antonio. The salons were The Mane Attraction and The Colour Studio. The show was a lot of fun and everyone had great energy, we even had a couple of breast cancer survivors as models and they did a wonderful job. There were also door prizes and Cabo had some complimentary appetizers. So, until I get my pictures from the show here is what I looked like, however, this is not the dress I wore. The dress I wore was an Express dress from Plato's Closet. Other fashions in the show were from Le Chic Boutique and Town and Country Boutique.

Well, San Antonio's first fashion week is now over and I'm looking forward to next year. Maybe next year I will be able to participate in more events or at least attend them. Other then the GOing Green Garden Party I was also in the GOing Green Show/Night of Stars Gala which was the finale event of fashion week. It was a lot of fun and there was a great turn out. I modeled the same dress from the Garden Party. The event consisted of four different shows. The first was the 2010 Spring collection from Niche by Nilgun Derman. This was followed by Adrienne Yunger's line of menswear inspired by the military and NASA. Next was Angelina Mata's 2009 Fall cocktail and sports collection. GOing Green was the last runway show and the designs were submitted from fashion designs students using recycled materials. My dress was made out of t-shirts and newspaper. All of the designs were amazing. The last part of the show featured awards. All of the hair and makeup was done by Ulta and everyone in the GOing Green show had a painted on mask and color in their hair, it was a really fun concept. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get some better pictures but as always here are my not so great pictures:

San Antonio Fashion week is this week and I just went to the Big Grass Bamboo "GOing Green Garden Party." There was a mini fashion show that was part of the program that gave a sneak peak of the designs that are going to be in the GO Green Fashion Show/Night of Stars Gala on Saturday. I wore the design that I will be wearing on the show on Saturday and it's called Morning Glory. Here's a picture:

I've been meaning to do this for awhile but haven't had the time; so now I'm making the time...at least a little bit of time. I was a presentation model for KMS California at the Armstrong McCall Hair Show earlier in the month. I've always wanted to do a hair show and this was my first one. It was a lot of fun and as result of it my hair is completely different. It's about chin length, it's actually a bob. I really like, it's so much different from what I'm used to but I like it. It's good to have something different for a change. Normally I tell hairstylists to do whatever they want but they usually leave it as it is. My hair is also a different color, it's still dark brown but it's got like reddish tones to it and I actually really love the color. I haven't gotten any new pictures of my new hairstyle but it's something I'm working on and will hopefully get soon. I do however have a couple of pictures from the show that I will add to the photo gallery.
On another note, I am going to be in San Antonio Fashion Week...yay!! I will be in the Go Green Fashion show that is during the Night of Stars Gala which is the finale event for fashion week on October 10th at Sunset Station.

I particpated in one of the fashion shows during Austin Fashion Week this past Friday. It was the Vaudevillians Fashion Show for Avenue Five Institute. The theme was cabaret and the clothing was from La Rouge. I modeled a pink and black corset with black hot pants and black tights. I took a picture of my makeup and hair with my phone, it's not very good but here it is anyways.
Okay, well, that's not a good picture at all, I keep trying to resize it and it getso out of proportion, plus my hair was already pretty messed up by this time. I should be getting some real photos from the show hopefully within the next week.
Anyways, it was a very upbeat show and a lot of fun. I would've loved to participate in more shows so I'm hoping I'll be able to next year now that I know about it ahead of time. When I found out about this I thought that San Antonio should have a fashion week as well and come to find out San Antonio's first fashion week will be this year in October. So, I'm hoping I can figure out how to get involved with that.
